The Globe Group is excited to have provided scaffolding and roofing services for St. John’s College’s bridge over the river project through our small works team. We take pride in our ability to deliver quality services to our clients, regardless of the size of the project.
The scope of our work on this project included the installation of independent general-purpose scaffolding, with a safe working load of 2.0kN/m2. We arranged the scaffold in 4+2 boards wide and erected it in approximately 2m high lifts. We ensured that all lifts were fully boarded with double handrails, toe boards, and integral ladder access, ensuring the safety of the workers.
To ensure that the workers were protected from weather elements, we also installed temporary roofing for the bridge project. We covered the roof with shrink wrap plastic sheeting to create a weatherproof enclosure that allowed light to penetrate through.
